One of the most significant developments in the field of architectural imagery has been the emergence of Augmented reality.
With it you can now experience your new building in a life like simulation allowing you to freely move through the space. This can be delivered either as a desk top version using keyboard navigation much as you would a video game, or as a headset Augmented Reality application, allowing you to have a more fully immersive 3D experience using hand controllers to teleport within the Augmented Reality world. You can look around and see exactly what you’ll be seeing in reality, once your project has been completed.
Additionally, when using Augmented Reality, you can implement real time changes such as colour and fabric options, opening doors, turning on lights and entertainment systems, moving from a daytime to a night-time lighting option. This really is as close to being there as possible.

Additional Rooms - AR
spacevr_curate
Augmented reality can make a huge difference for a business that builds garden rooms, orangeries, and conservatories. Instead of guessing what a design might look like, customers can drop a life-size version straight into their garden using their phone. It instantly shows the scale, style, and best spot for the build.
Teams can tweak colours, materials, and layouts on the spot, making the whole process quicker, clearer, and far more exciting for customers.

Digital Signage - AR
spacevr_curate
A sector we’re particularly excited to be expanding into is Digital Signage. This technology offers the closest possible experience to seeing your product before it’s even built. While the presentations can be viewed on a screen, they are best experienced through a headset, where the full impact and immersive quality of these technologies truly come to life.
As we continue to develop this service, we’re constantly discovering new possibilities—from lighting design and digital totems to dynamic, moving digital exhibitions. The potential applications are almost limitless. Once the initial development is complete, the production process becomes highly streamlined and cost-effective, thanks to the extensive research and development we’ve already undertaken.
Importantly, this technology isn’t just visually impressive—it’s also a powerful strategic tool. Imagine presenting your concept to clients through an Augmented Reality experience, giving you a clear advantage over competitors. Not only does it create a memorable impression, but it also demonstrates that your business is embracing innovative, forward-thinking technology.

All Under One Roof
Here is what we created for
THE FALKLAND ISLANDS COMPANY
THE BRIEF
The Falkland Islands Company, established in 1852, has evolved into a versatile solution provider with deep roots in the community. Initially focused on land ownership, it has diversified its offerings to encompass a wide array of essential services.
Guided by its core values, the company aims to bolster financial investment and hospitality development in the islands. To achieve these goals, the company engages in venture capital presentations to attract funding partners. One significant opportunity in its real estate and hospitality investment ventures involves the development of luxury self-contained timber construction cabins.
Nestled in the rugged landscape of the Falkland Islands, these cabins offer guests a unique experience characterised by dramatic vistas and star-filled night skies visible through apex skylights. Despite the rustic charm, they boast modern luxury amenities, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay for visitors. FIC approached Space VR to collate a multi-facetted presentation giving strength to all the aspects needed to introduce possible investment to this exciting opportunity.

THE SOLUTION
Computer Generated Imagery
Space VR was tasked with creating photorealistic images and animations to enhance the presentation. These visuals encompassed both luxurious interior accommodations and exterior representations, depicting the buildings nestled within the mountainous islands. Leveraging a vast library of professionally crafted models and textures, we expedited the production process while ensuring exceptional quality.
With 25 years of experience in architectural digital material production, Space VR is adept at employing cutting-edge CG techniques, precisely tailored to fit within budget constraints. This expertise enables us to deliver stunning visual representations that authentically capture the feeling of the Falkland Islands and elevating the overall presentation to new heights.
Audio Visual
The concept is further brought to life through a meticulously crafted marketing video, produced to encapsulate the essence of the islands. Seamlessly blending stock footage, photography, and custom helicopter and drone footage, the video offers viewers a captivating glimpse into the rugged beauty and allure of the islands. Elevating the visual narrative are Space VR digital materials, enhancing the immersive experience. A crafted script for the video was also written as a narrative to the video creating a brand tone of voice and a campaign feel.
Marketing
Complementing this visual spectacle are essential documents: a layout masterplan drawing package and a financial forecasting document, providing a comprehensive overview of the concept’s vision and feasibility. The culmination of these efforts is a slick, polished showreel, ready for presentation or broadcast. Serving as a powerful marketing tool, it effectively communicates the islands’ potential to stakeholders and audiences, enticing them to explore and invest in the captivating destination.
A typographic logo and brand pack were also created to bring the project a consistency of visual language with examples of how this would filter into marketing and press ads.
Presentation Document
To complement the proposal, we crafted a fully interactive electronic presentation. This dynamic document features picture-in-picture prompts and animation triggers, enhancing engagement and clarity. Each element is designed to guide viewers smoothly through the content, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of our proposal. The use of multimedia elements not only captures attention but also facilitates a more immersive and memorable experience. This innovative approach showcases our commitment to leveraging advanced technology for effective communication, making the proposal not just informative, but also visually compelling and engaging for all stakeholders involved.
THE RESULTS
Space VR provides clients with an all-encompassing presentation package, offering computer-generated architectural impressions, cohesive marketing strategies, and polished marketing videos.
By delivering all services under one roof, clients experience a seamless process with consistent quality throughout. This integrated approach ensures that every aspect of the presentation, from conception to delivery, is fully realized and professional.
Space VR’s commitment to excellence is evident in its attention to detail and dedication to exceeding client expectations. With Space VR, clients can trust that their project will be handled with expertise and precision, resulting in a compelling and impactful presentation that effectively communicates their vision and goals.

Agricultural Building – South Hetton
spacevr_curate
THE BRIEF
We were approached to produce CG material of an agricultural building and the local environment for a planning application in a very rural part of North East England. Because of the location, near a public walkway, we were advised the council had requested the building needed to be screened with trees and bushes and this needed to be reflected in our imagery.
THE SOLUTION
We immediately recommended still CG images as we predicted the project was going to need multiple revisit’s due to its sensitivity, making animations and VR a costly delivery to amend. We put forward an idea of having certain views from the perspective of country hikers, so the council would get an accurate visual representation of what would be seen from the footpath. We suggested multiple versions, changing from season to season, as the coverage could dramatically change during the year. It was very important that 3D models of local foliage were used to screen the building as this was an area of South Hetton much loved by walkers and as such the site needed to be as concealed as much as possible.
THE RESULTS
Our client had never worked with CG imagery before and was delighted with the result and the experience, and has opened up their view to incorporate artist impressions in their working practices.

Luxury Living Space
spacevr_curate
THE BRIEF
We were recommended to our new client who needed artist impressions of their new property for planning then for marketing purposes, primarily online but also in the press. This was their first venture using CG imagery and they looked to us for guidance as to how things worked. They needed the images to capture the open plan nature of the design, focussing on the natural lighting available through floor to ceiling windows.
THE SOLUTION
We suggested still images and 360 panoramas. These give a rotational, all-encompassing view of the property from one or more positions. We created 3 camera positions and linked all three together allowing you to move to each position with a click of the mouse from a desktop computer. These can also be viewed through our headsets giving an extremely immersive experience. These can be uploaded to a client’s own online marketing media accounts or a link can be sent directly to a customer.
THE RESULTS
There is an increasing list of different CGI delivery available to clients. 360 panoramas have been around for a while, but they still offer an incredibly informative visual experience for surprisingly little extra creative work than a standard CG still image requires. Adding more linked 360 images is extremely easy, leading us to believe this visual route is second only to full Virtual Reality. The client was extremely satisfied with the results, having never seen this option, and has other properties for which they require a similar visual treatment.

Pemberton Carvery - Ramside Hall Hotel
spacevr_curate
THE BRIEF
Our long-standing hospitality entrepreneur client wanted to refurbish their Pemberton Carvery at Ramside Hall in Seaham. Due to the large scale of the interior they wanted a CG delivery that gave more visual information than simply still images.
THE SOLUTION
As time was a factor we immediately suggested 360 Panoramas and still CG imagery. 360’s are an incredibly effective way of representing the entire room, and something Space VR has a huge amount of experience in. They are produced in exactly the same way as a still CG image, the only proviso being that due to the 360 rotational abilities of this visualisation, the entire room needs to be photo realistically modelled. Once that is completed the software to bring this amazingly immersive experience to a Virtual Reality headset or viewed on a PC is relatively straightforward. For areas in the space not covered by the panorama we backed up the presentation with supplemental renders.
THE RESULTS
We presented the 360 Panorama to the client on a VR headset. This was a major project so it was vital the aesthetics and functionality of interior design, headed up by our sister company Space I.D, was fully signed off. Our client was extremely impressed with the results and progressed the project immediately to the design package stage and site commencement.

The Falkland Islands Company Christmas Market
spacevr_curate
The transit Shed
THE BRIEF
The Falkland Islands Company needed us to produce CG material for their new venture, that of converting the interior of a huge existing wood storage unit into a traditional Christmas Market, complete with multiple stalls, seating areas and a refreshment bar to an outside area. Time was tight and everything was required within a week.
THE SOLUTION
Another reason the client had for commissioning CGI’s was to aid in a planning application so Space VR suggested still images, being the most flexible and also the most suitable for printed documentation. Still CG renders are also the most controllable if production time is an issue. As long as what’s in front of the camera viewpoint looks right there really isn’t an awful lot to worry about, unlike moving CG deliveries such as animations or Virtual Reality.
THE RESULTS
The client was extremely pleased with the results. Space VR specialise in hospitality illustrations, and especially images set in the evening, so we knew exactly what to do to achieve the best-looking renders. These images were heavily edited in Photoshop to add atmosphere and special effects. It was unavoidable that there was always going to be a huge number of individual objects in these 3D scenes, we’re always investing in new technology which can specifically help with heavy scenes. We even delivered all the images earlier than the client was expecting. The application was a success.

Timepiece animation
spacevr_curate
THE BRIEF
As part of our commitment to offer our clients the best possible service, we challenged ourselves to an inhouse project producing animated imagery for a luxury timepiece. While our primary strengths lie in architectural visualisation, the same software can also be used to create a wide variety of CG renders servicing many different sectors, so we were interested in seeing the results.
THE SOLUTION
Producing an animation dictated just which software we’d be using. Traditionally, animations would come with a high-risk factor regarding amendments because if the client wanted to change a sequence, even slightly, when all the frames had been produced, then that would mean the entire animation would need to be re-rendered. But with real-time rendering software packages, we can render whole animations often in minutes rather than days, or even weeks. This affords a huge benefit to the client, and to the illustrator, with client amendments no longer being such a costly time-consuming step in animation production.
THE RESULTS
Timepiece modelling needs to be as accurate as possible, as camera positions are often only be millimetres from the object. Depth of Field, which blurs either closer or further away geometry, is something we’ve added to create a more dramatic look.
